Could a quick, Needle-Free MRI replace the standard Crohn's scan?
NCT ID NCT05354609
First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study compares a faster, contrast-free MRI technique (diffusion-weighted) with the standard MRI for monitoring Crohn's disease activity in 140 adults. The goal is to see if the simpler scan works just as well, without bowel cleansing or gadolinium injection, making follow-up easier for patients. Participants will undergo both types of MRI on the same day for direct comparison.
