Could a personalized starch help kids with Crohn's disease?

NCT ID NCT06301477

Summary

This study is testing whether a specific type of dietary starch, chosen based on a child's unique gut bacteria, can help improve their gut health while they are on standard Crohn's medication. It involves 45 children aged 8-17 who have Crohn's disease in remission or with mild symptoms. The main goal is to see if the starch increases helpful bacteria and their byproducts in the gut, which may support better disease control.
