Swallowing a 'Poop Pill' to fight Crohn's disease
NCT ID NCT06631586
Summary
This study is testing whether swallowing capsules containing processed, healthy donor stool (a gut bacteria transplant) can help people with active Crohn's disease. Researchers want to see if the new bacteria can successfully take hold in the gut and if this leads to reduced symptoms and less inflammation. The trial will involve 120 participants and will compare two different capsule formulations.
