Using a Patient's own blood to help keep Crohn's narrowings open

NCT ID NCT06165289

Summary

This study is testing if adding an injection of a patient's own concentrated platelets (PRP) during a standard balloon stretching procedure helps keep narrowed sections of the colon open longer for people with Crohn's disease. The goal is to see if this combined approach can delay or prevent the narrowing from returning and reduce the need for surgery. Researchers are comparing two different concentrations of the PRP injection.
