NCT ID NCT07438509

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a medicated cream called crisaborole works better than a placebo cream for people with mild to moderate eczema. About 270 people aged 12 to 50 will apply the cream twice daily for four weeks. The goal is to see if the cream can clear or nearly clear the eczema rash.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

Crisaborole 2% cream

What this could lead to

If it works, this could provide a new, locally tested treatment option for mild to moderate eczema, helping clear skin and reduce itching.

What could go wrong

This is a Phase 4 trial, so the drug is already approved, but it may not work better than placebo in this specific population. Side effects like skin irritation are possible.
