NCT ID NCT02857400
First seen Apr 15, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a special organized consultation when leaving the hospital helps people with metastatic cancer. 667 patients were split into two groups: one got the usual discharge instructions, and the other had a meeting with their doctor and a specialist to plan their return home. The goal was to see if this extra planning reduced unplanned doctor visits and hospital stays.
