Blood test may replace CT scans for brain injury diagnosis
NCT ID NCT06834659
First seen May 24, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether a blood test can quickly and accurately detect brain injuries in adults who come to the emergency room after a head injury. Researchers will compare the blood test results with standard CT scans in 200 patients. If successful, this test could speed up diagnosis and reduce the need for radiation from CT scans.
