First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether craniosacral therapy, a gentle hands-on technique, can improve quality of life in women who have finished breast cancer treatment. 102 survivors with reduced well-being are randomly assigned to one-on-one therapy, group self-help training, or a waiting list. Researchers measure changes in cancer-related quality of life after 12 and 26 weeks.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
craniosacral therapy (a gentle hands-on technique)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a safe, drug-free way to help breast cancer survivors feel better and improve their daily quality of life.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with no blinding, so results may be influenced by placebo effects. The therapy is complementary and not a treatment for cancer itself.
