First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This small study looked at whether using a CPAP machine during radiation therapy can reduce the amount of radiation reaching the lungs in people with left-sided breast cancer or lung cancer. Eight patients were enrolled to compare lung radiation doses with and without CPAP. The goal was to see if CPAP helps protect healthy lung tissue during treatment.
