First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looked at 81 children with a narrow windpipe (subglottic stenosis) who had a balloon procedure to open it. Some children received a breathing mask (CPAP) right after surgery to see if it helped them recover faster and have fewer breathing problems. The goal was to find out if CPAP could reduce complications like low oxygen or the need for a breathing tube.
