Summary

This study looked at how two different COVID-19 booster vaccines affect immune cells in the lymph nodes. Researchers took tiny samples from the lymph nodes of 12 adults who had already received at least three doses of an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine. They compared the immune response after a booster with either a protein-based vaccine (VidPrevtyn Beta) or an updated mRNA vaccine (Comirnaty Original/Omicron BA.4-5). The goal was to understand which vaccine triggers a stronger germinal center reaction, which is key for long-lasting immunity.
