Can text messages boost COVID testing in High-Risk groups?
NCT ID NCT06141850
Summary
This study tested whether sending weekly text message reminders could encourage people with diabetes or at risk for diabetes to get tested for COVID-19 and follow other prevention steps. 290 adults in Georgia were randomly assigned to either receive these personalized text 'nudges' for 16 weeks or to a comparison group. The goal was to find easy, sustainable ways to increase testing and protective behaviors in a group at higher risk for severe COVID-19.
