Dutch study reveals Pandemic's hidden toll on surgery patients
NCT ID NCT05736822
Summary
This study aimed to understand how pandemic-related healthcare changes affected the quality of life and care experiences of Dutch patients who needed surgery or medical procedures between 2020-2021. Researchers first interviewed patient groups to identify key themes, then created and distributed a questionnaire to over 5,000 patients. The goal was to gather patient perspectives to help improve future healthcare during crises, not to test a new treatment.
