Scientists test if your spit spreads COVID-19
NCT ID NCT04348240
Summary
This study aimed to understand how COVID-19 spreads, especially by people who don't feel sick. Researchers tested saliva, nasal swabs, and other samples from 55 adults who had the virus with mild or no symptoms. A key part was having people read a script with and without a mask to see if masks stop the virus from spreading through droplets in speech.
