Summary

This study looked at whether the virus that causes COVID-19 can be found in the saliva of people who have no symptoms or only mild symptoms. Researchers collected samples from the nose, mouth, eyes, and blood from 55 adults who either tested positive or lived with someone who did. They also tested if wearing a mask reduces the spray of droplets during speaking. The goal was to better understand how the virus spreads without symptoms.
