Could COVID-19 harm your eyes? researchers look for clues

NCT ID NCT04881253

Summary

This study aimed to understand if COVID-19 causes damage to the back of the eye (the retina). Researchers used non-invasive eye scans to compare the retinas of 23 people who had severe COVID-19 with those who had mild cases. The goal was to see if the severity of the illness was linked to changes in the eye, which could help doctors better understand the disease.
