Researchers probe if COVID-19 makes radiation treatment riskier for breast cancer patients

NCT ID NCT07188116

Summary

This study aims to understand if having COVID-19 increases the chance or severity of radiation-induced lung inflammation (pneumonitis) in people treated for breast cancer. Researchers will look back at the medical records of about 200 patients who received radiation therapy at a single hospital in China. The goal is to gather knowledge to help guide future patient care, not to test a new treatment.
