Doctors search for clues to predict which COVID patients will die
NCT ID NCT04475211
Summary
This study aimed to understand why some hospitalized COVID-19 patients die while others survive. Researchers at Lille University Hospital in France collected detailed medical information from 757 adult patients treated for COVID-19. By analyzing this data, they hoped to identify specific factors—like patient characteristics, test results, or treatments—that could predict a patient's risk of dying within 28 days of admission.
