First seen Jun 15, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 15, 2026

Summary

This completed study used advanced CT and MRI scans to look for lasting damage in the lungs, heart, liver, and brain of 206 adults who had COVID-19. Researchers compared people who were hospitalized with those who were not, and also included healthy controls. The goal was to better understand long-term health problems after COVID-19, not to test a treatment.
