This study looked at what happened when 37 critically ill COVID-19 patients were moved by train from overcrowded Paris ICUs to hospitals in western France. Researchers tracked deaths, infections, and recovery times to see if the transfer itself caused harm. The goal was to learn from this experience since no one had studied train evacuations for COVID-19 patients before.
