Summary
This study collected information on 7,500 adults with COVID-19 who were treated in Swedish intensive care units (ICUs) during the first two months of the 2020 pandemic. Researchers looked at patient backgrounds, treatments, and survival rates to understand what factors increased the risk of death. The study has been extended to include patients through 2022 and will also compare long-term outcomes with those of flu patients.
