First seen Apr 07, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study followed 530 working-age adults (18-70) who were hospitalized with COVID-19 to see how disability changes over time. Researchers measured physical and mental impairments, activity limits, and social participation using standard checklists at 12 and 36 months after leaving the hospital. The goal was to better understand long-term recovery needs, not to test a treatment.
