Scientists test 'Mix-and-Match' booster shots in african communities

NCT ID NCT07408297

Summary

This study tested whether giving people a different type of COVID-19 vaccine as a booster shot (mix-and-match) works as well as or better than giving the same type they got before. It involved nearly 2,000 teens and adults in Kenya, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, including people living with HIV, to see which combinations are safest and build the strongest immune response.
