Scientists probe deadly blood clot mystery in COVID patients
NCT ID NCT04356950
Summary
This study aimed to understand why some hospitalized COVID-19 patients develop serious blood clotting problems, which is a major risk factor for death. Researchers tested the blood of 175 patients using a detailed clotting analysis when they were first admitted to the hospital. The goal was to see if specific blood test results could predict which patients were more likely to survive or develop complications like blood clots.
