First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated Jun 20, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This completed study looked at whether people with cystic fibrosis (CF) have different COVID-19 antibody responses compared to the general population. Researchers followed 113 adults and children with CF across Europe for two years, testing their blood for SARS-CoV-2 antibodies at regular intervals. The goal was to understand why fewer CF patients seem to get COVID-19 and how natural infection versus vaccination affects their immunity.
