Caring texts may save veterans from suicide

Summary

This study looks at whether sending caring messages (Caring Contacts) along with helpful resources can reduce distress and prevent suicidal thoughts in stressed veterans and service members. About 521 participants will be split into two groups: one gets caring messages plus resources, the other gets resources alone. Researchers will track changes in suicide risk, depression, and overall well-being.
