NCT ID NCT05000866

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding communication skills training and a substance use module to standard couples HIV testing can help male couples reduce drug use and risky sexual behaviors. About 484 male couples (one partner aged 17-29, the other 17+) will be randomly assigned to receive standard testing alone or with one or both extra modules. The goal is to lower drug use, increase HIV prevention steps like PrEP, and reduce sexually transmitted infections.
