Can better communication ease the burden of advanced cancer for couples?

NCT ID NCT04590885

Summary

This study tested whether a communication skills training program could help couples where one partner has advanced cancer. 440 couples were randomly assigned to receive either the communication training or general health information. Researchers measured if the training improved relationship satisfaction, reduced psychological distress, and helped with symptom management for both patients and their partners.
