First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether simple physical maneuvers like leg crossing, bending, or arm tensing can prevent fainting in children aged 6 to 18. Participants who visit the emergency department after a fainting episode will either receive standard care or learn these counterpressure maneuvers. They will be followed for one year to see if the maneuvers reduce fainting episodes.
