Could a simple cough replace scary lung scans? new study investigates
NCT ID NCT05854563
Summary
This study is testing whether molecules collected from a person's cough can act as a 'liquid biopsy' to detect early signs of lung cancer and other lung diseases. Researchers will compare cough samples to samples taken during invasive bronchoscopy procedures to see if they provide similar information. The goal is to develop a simple, non-invasive test for early detection and monitoring.
