Summary

This study looked at whether using a continuous monitoring system (GE Portrait) with nurse alerts can reduce dangerous changes in vital signs like low oxygen, breathing problems, and abnormal heart rates. 227 adults recovering from major noncardiac surgery took part. The goal was to see if constant monitoring helps catch issues earlier than standard checks.
