NCT ID NCT07498842

First seen Apr 09, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looks at the best way to slowly reduce steroid medication in people with stable sarcoidosis, an inflammatory disease. About 100 adults who have been on a low dose of prednisolone for at least 6 months will be randomly assigned to a standard or a faster tapering schedule. The goal is to see which approach helps more patients safely cut their steroid dose by at least half, reducing long-term side effects like diabetes and bone loss.
