First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests a new type of talk therapy called Correct Self-Identification Program for people with major depression. 86 adults will be randomly assigned to either this new therapy or a standard therapy (ACT). The goal is to see if the new therapy reduces depression symptoms more and prevents relapse for 6 months after treatment ends.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
talk therapy (Correct Self-Identification Program)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a more effective talk therapy option for people with depression, potentially reducing symptoms and preventing relapse.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early pilot study with only 86 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. It's also comparing two types of therapy, so the difference might be small or not meaningful.
