New monitor aims to tame surgery stress in hysterectomy patients

NCT ID NCT07571473

First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether a device called CoreSys can help doctors manage stress during abdominal hysterectomy. The monitor tracks consciousness, pain, and stress levels during surgery. 30 women having the procedure will be split into two groups: one with standard anesthesia care, and one where the doctor also uses CoreSys readings. The goal is to see if using the monitor lowers stress-related substances in the blood, like interleukin-6 and cortisol, which could lead to better recovery.
