Can stronger abs help young athletes breathe better?
NCT ID NCT06728267
Summary
This study looked at whether a 6-week core strengthening program could improve trunk muscle endurance, breathing function, and quality of life in child and adolescent underwater rugby players. Thirty young athletes aged 9-17 were divided into two groups: one did the special core exercises, and the other continued their normal training. Researchers measured muscle strength, breathing tests, and quality of life surveys before and after the program to see if the exercises made a difference.
