Core training may speed groin recovery in young gymnasts

NCT ID NCT07466134

First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at whether adding core stability exercises to standard physical therapy helps young gymnasts (ages 7-10) with groin muscle strain. Thirty-six gymnasts with mild to moderate groin strain were split into two groups: one did only standard rehab, the other added core exercises. Researchers measured hip muscle strength, pain, and function to see if core training improves recovery.
