Experimental cord blood therapy offered to children with brain damage
NCT ID NCT03327467
Summary
This program provides access to an experimental treatment using infusions of umbilical cord blood for children and young adults (up to age 26) with brain injuries. The goal is to see if cells from cord blood can help the brain repair itself and improve function in conditions like cerebral palsy, stroke, or brain damage from lack of oxygen. Participants receive the infusion without prior chemotherapy and are followed for safety for two years.
