Quick COPD quiz may predict surgery risks

NCT ID NCT07087626

First seen Jun 02, 2026 · Last updated Jun 08, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether a short questionnaire called the COPD Assessment Test (CAT) can help predict breathing complications during and after surgery in people with COPD. About 120 adults aged 40-70 with stable COPD will take the test before elective surgery. Researchers will compare those with low versus high CAT scores to see if higher scores are linked to more breathing problems like low oxygen or pneumonia.
