Doctors seek better warning signs for COPD patients under sedation

NCT ID NCT07262905

Summary

This study observed 100 people with COPD (a serious lung disease) while they had a sedated endoscopy. Researchers wanted to see if a patient's recent symptoms and hospital visits could predict if their breathing would get worse during the procedure. They also tested if a new combined monitoring score (the IPI) could spot breathing problems earlier than standard monitors.
