This study looked at 200 adults over 65 with COPD and a condition called sarcopenic obesity (muscle loss with excess fat). Researchers used a special body composition test (bioelectrical impedance) to see if it could help predict serious outcomes like lung function decline, hospital stays, and death. The goal was to create a tool for earlier detection and better care, not to test a new treatment.
