Phone app aims to help COPD patients breathe easier for longer
NCT ID NCT04550741
Summary
This study tested whether a mobile phone app for remote rehabilitation could help people with COPD maintain the benefits of a short-term exercise and education program. 200 patients who completed a 4-week in-person rehab program were randomly assigned to either use the mobile app with remote support or receive standard follow-up advice. The main goal was to see if the app helped patients keep up their physical activity and improve their quality of life over one year.
