MRI scans reveal hidden lung damage in COPD patients
NCT ID NCT04126616
Summary
This study aimed to better understand how Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) affects blood vessels in the lungs. Researchers used MRI scans to measure blood flow in the lungs of 30 people with COPD, both at rest and after light exercise. The goal was to gather information that could help explain why some patients get worse and to guide future treatment options.
