Could a 'Mountain Air' break make exercise easier for COPD patients?
NCT ID NCT07072975
Summary
This study is testing if breathing air with slightly less oxygen during rest periods makes exercise feel easier for people with COPD. 50 participants with moderate COPD will do cycling sessions on different days, with some rest periods using normal air and others using low-oxygen air. Researchers will measure how hard the exercise feels, breathing patterns, heart rate, and sleep quality to see if the low-oxygen breaks help.
