Tiny implants aim to help trapped lungs breathe again

Summary
This study is testing a small, permanent implant designed to prop open airways in the lungs of people with severe COPD and emphysema. The goal is to see if this device can safely release trapped air and help patients breathe easier when standard medications aren't enough. About 250 participants will be followed for three years to check if the implant works and is safe.
