Summary
This study aims to see if measuring a specific protein (SP-D) in the blood can help doctors predict how severe a COPD flare-up will be. Researchers will check blood levels in 75 hospitalized COPD patients and compare them to symptoms and test results. The goal is to find a better way to monitor COPD progression without invasive procedures.
