First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tested two small devices—Coolsense (cold only) and Buzzy (cold plus vibration)—to see if they could lower pain and fear in children aged 6–12 during insulin injections. 90 kids with type 1 diabetes were split into three groups: one used Coolsense, one used Buzzy, and one received standard care. Researchers measured pain and anxiety scores right before and after the shot to compare the methods.
