Ice-Vest race against time to save cardiac arrest brains

NCT ID NCT07421882

Summary

This pilot study is testing whether paramedics can start cooling the body of a cardiac arrest patient right in the ambulance using a special vest. The goal is to see if starting this cooling process earlier, before reaching the hospital, is practical and safe. The results will help plan a larger future trial to see if this early cooling improves patients' brain recovery after their heart is restarted.
