Chill pillow tested to fight fat and improve sleep

NCT ID NCT05849181

Summary

This small, completed pilot study tested whether a cooling pillow pad could improve sleep quality and related metabolic health in African American adults with overweight or obesity. Researchers wanted to see if this non-drug approach could help people fall asleep faster, sleep better, and improve how their bodies process sugar. The study involved 18 participants who used the device for about three weeks while their sleep and blood sugar levels were monitored.
