NCT ID NCT06961929

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at whether wetting the skin or wearing a water-soaked T-shirt can help people with heart failure keep their body temperature down and reduce stress on the heart during heat waves. About 88 adults with and without heart failure will be exposed to simulated hot, dry conditions while researchers measure body temperature and heart function. The goal is to find simple, low-cost ways to protect vulnerable individuals from heat-related complications.
