Cool mats offer Drug-Free relief for cancer treatment side effects

NCT ID NCT07422727

Summary

This study is testing whether a simple, non-drug option—a cooling mat—can help reduce hot flashes and night sweats in people receiving hormone therapy for breast or prostate cancer. The pilot study will enroll 40 participants to see if using the mat for 8 weeks is practical and if it lessens the severity and frequency of these uncomfortable symptoms. Researchers will also check if the mats improve sleep and daily life without causing significant side effects.
